Big fan
Always been a big fan of PC world. The staff are always knowledgable & provide great advice. I love the fact that if you need to talk to them, it puts you in touch with someone who works in the store.

edit - spotted a deal on the new macbook pro on monday. We had an issue with the finance (as we use PC worlds business finance). The chap on the phone did the whole thing for me & it was delivered yesterday - the next day.
This was the reason for my review in the first place - I was reminded how good the staff are when I was talking to him.
Honestly don't get the negativity. Sometimes it's hard to find an assistant in-store, but they are always polite & get to you eventually.
I personally think we should be supporting businesses who train and employ customer-facing staff, rather than keeling-over and ordering from a faceless-robot-amazon-packing machine.

Just purchased some new earphones and collected from the store , product box was damaged and were a gift , annoying as then had to order another pair and will have to go back to collect ! they should have not really sent a box damaged .

I bought a television and cooker from them great service all the way I had 2 guys Alex and Jason very great service they even helped put my fridge nicely which I didn't buy from PC world, polite and great service all the way I give them 5 stars this 2 ???

Creation Finance…
Asked to buy an ipad on their finance deal.They said that Creation Finance would call me within 24 hours. They called 3 days later. In that time I found what I needed for £300 cheaper.

Bad Customer Service
I went to buy a gaming/office chair for myself from Currys/Pcwworld in Brentford. That section is a complete mess. All chairs on display are scattered around with no information sheet and price on them, Some boxes again here and there with no details and price. I really wanted to buy a comfortable chair today to take with me. They refused to open one of the boxes which were not on display. How can I buy a chair without trying it? I put time and effort to travel to the shop for that purpose only. I can order it online otherwise. I spoke to three different employees including one manager with no luck. I used to enjoy shopping from PCWorld and I can see the customer service is getting worse.

Bought an ex display Hoover at Currys…
Bought an ex display Hoover at Currys for £169 on 20th May 2022 for the full ticket price as they had none in stock . Specifically asked Zoe if it had been previously used and was told no . Got it home and after unpacking realised there was dust in the filter and minor cosmetic damage from apparent use .
Annoyed as I got a second hand item for full price .

Absolutely excellent to deal with, bought a new gaming computer (£2800), gpu failed after first week, I got a complete new computer after a few days, setup ready to plug back in at home.
Customer service is one of the best, Kidderminster branch, Liam was very helpful and knowledgeable sorted everything for me.
Negative review.
Cancelled my online order on 7th May sending not one but two cancellation forms nothing done, rang and spoke with someone, got a confirmation of the phone call but nothing on the refund, messaged currys on facebook and talked with someone only to confirm I had Cancelled my order on the 7th May, for an order over £3000 I thought I would receive it quick.

Thankfully companies like these will eventually not exist anymore as they just will not last in the current climate where its so easy to shop elsewhere. I'd honestly rather pay more from any other website to not have to deal with Currys awful service ever again.
Thousands a year spent on technology (we are a big tech household) but as is often the case with a large company, they do not care at all if they alienate you and you go elsewhere.
Purchased an item for my children, ordered cancelled the next day with a "sorry the price was wrong" generic email. Other people received their orders, response from customer service was "tough read the small print".
2 month old Xbox Series X fault happens now and then, PCworld want video evidence, a joke
If I could give a 0 star rating I would.
Someone I know had purchased an Xbox Series X and after owning it for a couple of months some problems started to happen, didn’t happen all the time just occasionally. I know this is a hardware problem as it’s happened to lots of other Xbox Series X owners.
I mentioned this to PCworld, and their response was,
“Get video evidence “
This is a joke, I don’t know when it happens, so how am I supposed to be ready to catch this fault, do I have to continually record every single time I’m on Xbox.
This is unacceptable.

When I purchased this Xbox Series X a couple of months ago,
It must be Satisfactory quality as described,
well it’s NOT due to this hardware fault that happens occasionally.
It must be fit for purpose and last a reasonable length of time,
We’ll it’s NOT, due to hardware fault that happens occasionally, and I believe is only going to get worse over time and may be other faults will start to surface.
I have the right for repair, replacement or refund as it’s only 2 months old.
And PCworld are denying that, by the pathetic excuse of “we need video evidence “
Well it would be easier catching a fast moving train.
I will take this further.
This is unacceptable and this company should stop trading.
I stopped buying from them in 2011, they sold me a Canon camera that had been used, then replaced it and that had been used. NEVER AGAIN
